Martyrdom anniversary of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen remembered in Kashmir




Various Majalis were held and procession taken out at many places in Kashmir on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain (AS), the fourth Shia Imam, also known as Zain-ul-Abideen and Sayyid-i Sajjad who was poisoned on 25th of Muharram 95 AH in Madinah city.




Various Majalis were held and procession taken out at many places in Kashmir on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain (AS), the fourth Shia Imam, also known as Zain-ul-Abideen and Sayyid-i Sajjad who was poisoned on 25th of Muharram 95 AH in Madinah city.



Imam Ali is buried in Baqi cemetery near his uncle Imam Hasan (AS).



On the occasion, Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association led by Moulana Imran Raza Ansari organized a day-long Majlis at Chennabal which started with recitation of verses of holy Quran followed by Marsiya by Zakirs. Thousands of people attended the Majlis and paid glowing tributes to the Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS).



Moulana Imran threw light on the holy life of Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) and led a Zuljinah procession from Chennabal which passed through Highway and culminated at Kakerpora.



Meanwhile, J&K Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen led by Moulana Muhammad Abass Ansari also held a day-long Majlis at Mirgund Pattan, in which thousands participated.



Moulana Abass on the occasion delivered a lecture on the life of the Imam Zain-ul-Abideen (AS) and Karbala martyrs. He also led a procession from Imambara Mirgund.



J&K Anjuman-e-Sharian Shia led by Aga Syed Hassan Alsafvi Almosvi organized day-long Majalis at Shalimar and Chavirah Budgam.



Thousands attended both the Majalis that started with the recitations of Holy Quran following which Aga Hassan shed light on Karbala martyrs besides leading a procession.
